Yesterday it was hail that brought Lambton Quay to a stop, today it was a mob of Samoan rugby supporters.
A flash mob of Samoan supporters sung out traditional songs to a crowd of hundreds, bringing central Wellington to a halt for about 10 minutes during the lunchtime rush.
The
crowd of curious onlookers and people waving Samoan flags vastly outnumbered the twenty performers at the heart of the crowd, meaning most people were only able to see the head of the person in front of them.
That didn't diminish the noise and atmosphere though, with traditional tunes ringing out through the crowd.
The flash mob was organised through Facebook and text messages, Samoa's "number one" fan Kos told APNZ.
