Those responding to the upset mother wrote reassuring words to her saying search and rescue teams were very good in New Zealand and the weather was warm where her daughter was missing.
Police say they were notified yesterday morning that a hiker walking the Te Araroa trail in the North Island had fallen and was in difficulty.
A spokeswoman said using the GPS co-ordinates of the distress signal Search and Rescue staff walked into the Herekino Forest south of Kaitaia and soon found the tramper.
She was assessed by rescuers before continuing on the trail.
After she was found by searchers Mikhailova posted her heartfelt thanks to everyone for their efforts.
"Dear all, thank you so much for tenderness. I'm fine, sorry for this issue. Thanks again to all of you and rescue and police teams. You are the best people in the world!!"
Her grateful mother later posted her daughter had contacted her and told her she was fine. She thanked everyone involved for their swift response.
