A rubbish truck has crashed into a house in Wellington this morning.

Police and emergency services are at the crash on Maungaraki Rd in Lower Hutt.

A spokeswoman said the truck's driver and passenger were not injured, but ambulance staff were attending as a precaution.

The only person in the house, which was down a long driveway, escaped without injury.

The Police Commercial Vehicle Investigation Unit was investigating.
