Rotorua's Skyline Skyrides leaves passengers dangling

Passengers at Rotorua's Skyline Skyrides have once again been left dangling.

A fault stopped the gondolas for about 45 minutes on Sunday - but this time no rescue was needed.

The stoppage, understood to have happened just after 3pm, was the third fault to halt the gondolas in five months.

Skyline officials were unavailable for comment yesterday.

In a dramatic incident at Easter, stranded gondola passengers had to climb down ladders or abseil from the swinging cabins.
