Rotorua tattooist Jamie Dean Keremete has been acquitted of all but six of the 20 charges he faced.
After deliberating for more than nine hours in the High Court at Rotorua today the jury found him guilty of intentionally injury and unlawful sexual connection with one of two womenwho testified against him.
He was found guilty of four charges involving a second complainant. These were assaulting her, sexually violating her, wounding her with the intention of doing her grievous bodily harm and a charge of intentional damage to her car.
Justice Matthew Palmer QC issued Keremete, 47, with a three strikes warning on the charge of wounding with intention to cause grievous bodily harm and remanded him in custody for sentencing on March 12, saying this date could change if the required pre-sentence reports aren't available by then.
The jury returned not guilty verdicts on rape charges relating to both women and four threatening to kill charges, the latter relating to the second woman.
