Rotorua forum on violence

Rotorua residents will get their chance at a forum on October 16 to voice their solutions to problems caused by unruly youths, says Mayor Grahame Hall.

He called for the forum following a daylight stabbing in the central city on August 25 involving rival teen gangs.

Retailers have asked for more police, and Mr Hall said he would pass on their request to Police Minister George Hawkins.
