A man has been charged after a person was hit by a car and seriously injured in Rotorua.
Police were called to Brookland Rd in Western Heights about 3.50am on Sunday after reports a vehicle collided with a person, police said.
A person was taken to hospital with seriousinjuries.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, a police spokeswoman said today.
