Roads cordoned after gas leak in Mt Eden

A section of Mt Eden Road in Auckland has been cordoned off because of a gas leak.

A domestic gas main was ruptured by workmen around 2:30pm.

Fire communications spokesman Jaron Phillips says the cordon includes Mt Eden, Duke, Shackleton, Landscape and St Andrews Roads. He says the gas company has just arrived at the scene.
