Road death charges

Two men charged in relation to a double fatal road crash in Manawatu were remanded on bail yesterday when they appeared in the Levin District Court.

William Nicholson-Kuiti, 19, was charged with two counts of manslaughter and four counts of dangerous driving causing injury.

Michael Needham, 23, was charged with two counts of being party to manslaughter and four counts of being party to dangerous driving causing injury.

Bailey Hohepa Kinita, 14, from Shannon, and Louise Diane Reichenbach, 20, from Foxton Beach, died on Foxton Beach Rd on February 20.
