Retired judge to defend criminal damage charge

A retired judge will today defend a criminal damage charge in the court where he dispensed justice for many years.

Michael Lance will appear in North Shore District Court accused of wilful damage after he allegedly used a key to damage a car parked across the drive of his North Shore apartment a year ago.

The case will be heard by a judge alone.
