Restaurant fire closes Wellington street

Police have closed off part of Wellington St due to a fire at restaurant.

Fire crews have scrambled to tackle the blaze on Cuba St in the inner city.

One firefighter can be seen fighting the fire from above using a truck with a raised ladder.

"People walking past are covering their mouth from the smoke, about five fire appliances here," a witness at the scene said.
