Residents react to moderate 4.4 earthquake in Christchurch

Cantabrians went to bed a little shaken last night after a 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck just after 11pm.

The quake was 15km east of Christchurch and 19km deep.

GeoNet classified the earthquake as "moderate" intensity.

Christchurch residents soon reacted to it on social media.
