Remuera car crash leaves one person in a serious condition

Two people have been injured - one seriously - in a crash on Portland Rd in the Auckland suburb of Remuera, just before the school pickup rush.

The fire service and police were called to Portland Rd to assist ambulance at 2.48pm.

A police spokeswoman said one person was in a serious condition and another had minor to moderate injuries.

One lane was blocked and traffic in the area.

A fire service spokesman said two cars were involved in the crash.
