Wairarapa's Emma Kruszona set the benchmark for the intermediate girls hammer throw at the North Island secondary schools track and field championships.
Her winning throw of 48.30m at the event held at the Pugh Sports Bowl in Masterton last weekend has been confirmed as a "best performance in eventsnot previously contested" and will now stand as a record for this competition.
All told 12 existing records were broken as the meeting and there were also 12 new marks set under the best performance criteria.
