Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.
Food is often treated as an after-thought to busy, work-orientated lives, with little thought to the health consequences that may follow as a result.
Graedon Parker and brothers Nick and Jason Corliss want to reverse this - and have started Organic Mechanic, a smoothie stall and health business, to make it happen.
The story behind the company starts with Graedon's close friend and Nick and Jason's father, Mike Corliss, who radically transformed his own lifestyle after diagnosis with multiple myeloma cancer about ten years ago.
In the team's words: "Watching him go through this journey as young boys inspired us to implement the diet and lifestyle changes into our own lives...
"From the daily green smoothies and wheatgrass shots, to the 15 minutes a day of meditation, we started to notice a massive change in our energy levels, overall health, and general state of consciousness and awareness.
"During that time, one of the most important lessons we learned was to take full responsibility of what goes into our bodies, our minds and what practices we support."
At the moment, the only sure-fire way to grab one of Organic Mechanic's superfood smoothies is to visit the La Cigale French Markets in Parnell.
The business has also started catering for private and corporate events, including a recent gig that involved making 800 smoothies in two hours.
Try whipping up this recipe at home - easy, delicious and good for your health.
