Further to our report "Pablo Picasso's beloved French villa sold to New Zealand financier Rayo Withanage", published on 13 October, we wish to make clear that Rayo Withanage's decision not to proceed with his initial purchase of Picasso's house was due to concerns over the title to the property and had nothing to do with availability of funding. We apologise to Mr Withanage for any implication to the contrary.
