Raw C Easter coconut water recalled over undeclared milk allergen

A limited edition Easter-themed coconut water has been recalled after milk was found in the product but not declared on the label.

New Zealand Food Safety said Raw C brand Easter Coconut Water was being recalled because of the presence of the undeclared allergen.

The affected product was sold in a 1-litre Tetra Pak carton and has a best-before date of June 28, 2027.

The batch number is 2536123B9A.

The water, imported from Vietnam, was sold nationwide at Woolworths, FreshChoice and Supervalue supermarkets.

People with a milk allergy or intolerance were warned not to consume the drink, and if they already had, to seek medical advice.

Those with a milk allergy or intolerance were also advised to return the product for a full refund.
