Rant

I arrived back in Auckland on Jetstar (great flight!) to be greeted by pouring rain. By the time I got from the Domestic Terminal door to the drop off/pick up point (across one pedestrian crossing), I was drenched and I wasn't the only one. Why is there no cover? I can only assume it was designed by the same "expert" in charge of Auckland's traffic lights!

I recently attended my stepmother's funeral in Whanganui. I was touched and heartened being part of the funeral procession up to Aramoho Cemetery at the number of cars travelling in the opposite direction upon seeing the hearse pulled over and stopped while the cars (with headlights on) passed.

To the dog walkers at Waiata Reserve, please be considerate of the neighbouring houses. No-one likes to hear your dogs barking incessantly every morning.

I want to rave about the lady who was on the train to Papakura and offered to drive me back to Papatoetoe to my car. While getting ready to get off the train in Papatoetoe, my knee locked so I was unable to get off. Staff on the train came to my aid and suggested I just stay put until it came right - it did, eventually. I want to thank the staff (Clarence and Israel) and the nice lady for trying to assist me.
