Every morning around 6am I take my dog for a walk/run around the Papatoetoe Recreation Fields with tennis racquet and ball. Following him around, I pick up the bottles, cans and wastepaper dropped the day before. On Monday morning I headed toward another dropped crisp bag only to find it was a crisp $20 note. So someone does appreciate me doing this.
My car was parked on Chancery St in the CBD, just down from Fonterra HQ, on Friday night. At around 7.30pm, a man driving a late model red Suzuki Swift ploughed into the side of it, pulled over to inspect the damage to his own car and took off without leaving his details. No one saw his rego and my insurance policy is useless without this his details, so I am faced with a very large repair bill just before Christmas.
A special birthday outing for our two grandsons was made extra special by the outstanding volunteers at Glenbrook Vintage Railway. By preserving and keeping our steam engine history alive in a wonderfully informative and happy manner, the volunteers made it a truly memorable day. Thank you to everyone involved.

Fleetwood Mac is a rock concert, which inherently means people will stand up and enjoy the music. Saying they are arrogant is just unbelievable. If you want seated, go to the opera.

Sent online passport renewal at 6pm on Thursday. Received notification at 10am on Friday that it had been dispatched. This was non-urgent renewal. Well done Department of Internal Affairs.
