To the person who picked up my grandson's brown Ripcurl wallet on a Western train to New Lynn last Wednesday about 4pm: It contained his student ID, book voucher, library card, train card and some money. He needs it. Please hand it in.

Grateful thanks toRob at Audi Newmarket for his assistance after an accident on the motorway in March. He called the insurance company, took photos of the damage and sent them to the repairer, and organised coffee. He even offered to take us home.
I have developed an intense dislike of Bic Runga and Dave Dobbyn, due to their songs being used for call waiting. Hearing Bic's untreated lisp and Dave telling me to be loyal now causes me painful flashbacks to hours of my life lost waiting to be answered by an actual person.
I walked into Top Secret Lunn Ave with two outdoor sofa squabs completely "eaten" by Margot our dog as her family was on holiday and she was pissed off. They gave me two new ones free. The service there and their attitude are amazing.

To the commuters who drive down Pakuranga Rd in the morning: What part of "keep clear" at St Kentigern College intersection do you not understand? This is to be kept free for traffic emerging from the school. Also, the pedestrian crossing there is to be kept clear.

I had taken my mother for a walk (she is wheelchair bound) last week from Franklin Memorial Hospital into Waiuku village. On the way back up the hill, a schoolboy asked if I needed any help - and then another young chap who had driven past us parked his vehicle and walked down to meet us, so that he could push the wheelchair up the hill for me!! Once again, thank you to the school boy - and a huge THANK YOU to the man who pushed the wheelchair up the hill.
As a mother of a dyslexic 9- year-old, I am appalled NZ Football will not publish his rep team scores. So it's OK for his name to be on the lowest spelling/reading/maths groups all over class walls but not OK to celebrate his success in team sport?
