Twenty or more minute queues for the women's loos at Laneway Festival in the blazing sun. Men could use larger portaloos, but women did not have that luxury. That needs to be fixed next year.

Staff wearing shirts promoting moderation in drinking wandering among the tired and emotional punters at Laneway checking on the state of exhausted fans. Their concern was genuine, sensitive and in some cases, timely.

I used my Hop Card to travel into town, cross the harbour and come back again on Anniversary Day. We then hopped on to our train home. There was an incredible noise coming from our carriage motor and climbing up to Newmarket was a painful journey. I felt sorry for the efficient staff having to hear that noise all day. Please Auckland Transport take carriage No 805 out of service.

On Monday I parked and locked the car at the Arataki access to the beach, the extension of Mt Maunganui, and took the dog for a walk. On return I found I had lost my keys and I had no mobile phone with me. A very nice couple offered to take me home to Tauranga. I picked up the spare key and took a taxi back to my car. There were several young men near it and they shouted out they had put a note under my wipers, which said my keys were at the dairy around the corner. They had found them in the sand. They would not take any reward, so I gave the leader a big hug.

I object to having to pay a toll on the Northern Toll Road when it is blocked because of congestion especially at holiday weekends. When the traffic is not free flowing, they should turn off the cameras and not charge motorists.

Returning in a packed bus from the Auckland Anniversary celebrations, I found to my dismay I had alighted at the Constellation Park and Ride station and not the Albany station. Many thanks again to the kind young man, Ben, who drove me to the Albany station just in time to meet my husband who had been further back in the bus and was wondering where I was.
