Why do motorists in New Zealand have this dangerous and impatient habit of overtaking the car in front while the driver of that car is doing a parallel park? It would be courteous to wait behind until the car is safely parked.

Transtasman postal handling this Christmashas been exceptional - parcels with presents and cards door-to-door in three business days, both ways. Kudos to NZ Post and AusPost for proving the AusPost chief executive incorrect.
To Tom from yesterday's column, my bill before Christmas is $1020! We moved into our new house, on Exmouth Rd, last Tuesday and before I could move my car into the driveway, some nice person wiped out my wing mirror!
I phoned the council on Sunday morning to report some graffiti in a walkway at the end of our street and it was completely removed and cleaned up by Monday. Well done and thank you.
