I went for a run on Sunday when the All Blacks were playing and saw lots of people getting on with their lives and doing constructive things. Glad to see that not everyone is obsessed.

I would like to thank Midas Grafton who allowed me to parkthere on a recent weekend so I could go to the hospital. I had no money for parking and a little baby I had to take care of. I got more upset as I didn't know how to put the pram up. It took some time. So, a huge thank you.
To the brunette trying to do her make-up while driving the white Corolla on the busy Northwestern Motorway on Monday morning: You are a menace on the road! How irresponsible of you to use your rear-view mirror to apply make-up while driving. You were swerving all over the place while trying to dig into your make-up bag. You were not keeping up with the traffic and making a huge queue of drivers behind you late. You got such a fright when I hooted, you almost swerved into the barrier! This is because you could not see the vehicle behind you as you were too busy using the mirror as a make-up tool.
I chanced to share a bus stop in Grafton the other day straight after school with 20 or more St Peter's College young men. As they crowded to the bus door, one noticed me standing behind them. At the word of one of them, all politely stepped back and with a, "You first, sir," I was given honourable priority. A great credit to the school, to the young men themselves, and a wonderful memory to add to my 73rd birthday!

When will Tournament parking complete maintenance on the lift at the Rialto carpark in Newmarket? It has been out of action for four months. Difficult for people using disability carparks.

We are new to this country, so our hosts took us to the Saturday Pakuranga night markets. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! Such a great environment, and we enjoyed all the food stalls and the young Asian Michael Jackson impersonator!
