Rave We had a disappointing visit with our grandson this week to Auckland Airport, where the viewing deck for children and adults has been permanently closed, and a meal at KFC was not up to scratch. Not to mention the parking fees. We made up for it the day after bytaking him to Ardmore Airport to see lots of small planes flying and parked. At the cafe there we had a delicious lunch served by lovely, friendly, efficient, young ladies. With free parking thrown in! Connie & John Grice
Rant If we must have so many TV programmes repeated, could we please have a "R" in the advert. It gets very annoying when you realise it has been shown very recently. Connie
Rave A big thank-you to Andrew, butchery manager at Pak'nSave Glen Innes. You have proved that customer service still exists in NZ. When we lost our receipt and no one else in Pak'nSave would help, you stepped up with a commonsense solution. Whatever they pay you, it's not enough. Paul
Rant I can get a property file CD couriered overnight from Takapuna for $30. To get a CD overnight from Graham St in the city, closer to where I live, costs $89, nearly three times as much. Can anyone explain why the Shore is so much cheaper? Steve
Rave Just wanted to say thanks to the security guys from First Security who work A&E at Auckland City Hospital. They were so kind and caring with my father, who was raving and hitting out while they all tried to help him. Way above and beyond their duty, and all for $15 an hour! Awesome. Val
Rant There are sales everywhere, all the time. Huge notices ... 50 per cent off! 30 per cent off! So why do shop assistants have to tell me that they have a sale on? Also the notices "sale continues instore" ... where else would the sale be? Maureen Kirkland-Smith
