KEY POINTS:

Supporters of walking and cycling links across the Auckland Harbour Bridge are being urged to gather beneath the structure on Sunday to keep their campaign rolling.

But Getacross campaign organisers, who claim more than 9700 supporters, will ask those at the rally not to make any unofficial and illegal dashes across the bridge.

The rally - to be held at the Westhaven end of the bridge at 2pm - follows resolutions of support in principle for the concept from Auckland Regional Council and North Shore City but opposition from Auckland City.
