Both said they were pleased the prize has gone to such a "deserving winner".
"We were very happy to hear that Michelle had won the home. It took a while to find her but once we found her and we heard her reaction over the phone ... it's a fantastic outcome for us, Stonewood and Countdown," Mr Basha said.
Mr Chambers said Countdown and Unilever got together to find out what Kiwis want and what is becoming harder to get and realised it was being able to to buy their own homes.
"It's wonderful to be here to present something that could hopefully help change somebody's life. A family with a couple of children, I think it's just marvellous," Mr Chambers said.
Ms Cooper lives with her partner of 20 years and their two children, Byron, 11, and Zara, 6. She said she is unsure if the family will be moving to Queenstown or selling the house and will decide when they have seen it.
