Quake rattles Bay of Plenty

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has rattled the Bay of Plenty.

The quake struck at 4.37pm at a depth of 80km, 20km east of Opotiki, reported GNS Science.

It was felt in the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne.
