Emergency services and Carterton firefighters were called to a fatal quad bike crash at a farm near the town around 4.30pm on Monday.
A man died in a quad bike incident yesterday on a farm near Carterton.
Police spoken to by the Times-Age were at the scene at Dalefield, south of Carterton, yesterday evening.
It is understood the bike had rolled on to the man, killing him instantly.
Acting sergeant David Mason said
emergency services were called at around 4.30pm, including the Carterton Fire Brigade.
He said the man is in his mid to late fifties. Next of kin had been notified and the Serious Crash Unit were investigating.
