Police have named a man killed in a quad bike accident near Hikurangi, 15km north of Whangarei, on Saturday.
He was 64-year-old farmer Jack McInnes.
Mr McInnes was riding his quad bike on a steep hill when his vehicle rolled and pinned him face down, Senior Constable Russell Rawiri said.
Mr McInnes had started spraying on his quad bike at 6.30pm and family members found him about 8pm.
