This is the eighth time MIS students have made the trip to Japan and each of the selected pupils had a year to fundraise just over $3,000 to finance the trip.
While there the student will visit Osaka Castle, Kyoto's Golden Temple and Universal Studios Japan alongside numerous other historically significant sites.
They'll also take part in an array of studies with their Shijonawate Gakuen hosts, not only academic but also music and arts.
