GDM designs and manufactures retail systems for a wide range of successful customers throughout New Zealand and the world.
The principal objective of the role is to manage and further develop design and engineering capability to meet customer expectations internally and externally. Working closely with the manufacturing team, Project Managers
and Engineers. GDM is looking for a dynamic and motivated manager who will drive manufacturing capability to world-class standards.
To be successful you will be experienced; proactive by nature; with a strong understanding of the technical and cost management details necessary for a successful make-to-order business. This will include experience and technical competency with the manufacture of Metal and/or Joinery products.
You will demonstrate the ability to identify and implement new initiatives along with the skills to manage a team-based culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and staff engagement at all levels. Experience or an interest in lean manufacturing would be beneficial.
You will have a keen interest in people, and the willingness to take responsibility for end results.
