Prizes mount for wedding photo contest

The Martinborough Village wedding photo competition has been given a boost with more prizes up for grabs.

"We've had such an amazing response to the competition," said Trish Higginson, creative director of Martinborough Village.

"We have now extended the prize packages to three overall prizes and three people's choice prizes, plus every entrant will receive a Beautifully You voucher."

Anybody who has been married in the South Wairarapa area in the past 20 years can enter the draw by sending in a favourite wedding photo.

"Martinborough is an incredible wedding destination and it's time to showcase that."

The winning couple will receive two nights at the Altitude Apartments Martinborough, a bottle of Margrain Vineyard Cellar Door bubbles from Martinborough Wine Merchants and a romantic dinner at Cafe Medici.

The second-place winner will get one night's accommodation for four people at Brackenridge Country Retreat & Spa and third placegetter will receive dinner at Cool Change Bar & Eatery to the value of $150.

There will also be a prize for each of the three entrants whose photos receive the most "likes" on the Martinborough Village Facebook page.

Those prizes include a Fox Beauty and Organics pamper voucher, a lunch at Pinocchio Martinborough and a box of Colombo Winegrowers pinot noir.

Six finalists will be selected after the competition closes on August 30 and they will be invited to a prizegiving at the apartments with bubbly and canapes.
