DISMISSED: Red Star batsman Chris Wenden is run out by Lansdowne's Jamie Holmes.

DISMISSED: Red Star batsman Chris Wenden is run out by Lansdowne's Jamie Holmes.

Lansdowne had mixed results in their two The Rock Twenty20 senior men's cricket matches played on Saturday, beating Rathkeale College by five wickets and losing to Red Star by two runs.

A typically hard-hit 64 by opening batsman Brock Price was the catalyst to the victory over Rathkeale College after the students batted first and made 116-9.

Price faced 43 balls and his knock included four fours and five sixes - the only other Lansdowne batsman to reach double figures was Jamie Holmes, who got through to 17.

Lansdowne eventually reached their target in 15.5 overs.

Earlier, Rathkeale College opener Kelsey Fahey had led his team's batting effort with 48.
