Pranksters say sorry for fake kidnapping

Auckland police have yet to decide what will be done to a group of men who carried out a fake kidnapping during a stag party.

The hoax at Mission Bay on Saturday sparked a big police response across Auckland and drew an angry reaction when the prank was revealed.

A spokeswoman said the group had expressed some regret and were apologetic about the inconvenience they caused.
