Power cuts hit city

Power was restored yesterday evening after an outage affected people in the northern Auckland suburbs of Albany and Coatesville in the afternoon. A Vector spokeswoman said the cause of the power cut was being investigated but could not say how many people had been affected.

Just after noon about 680 customers in the CBD and Freemans Bay were without power for about an hour after a cable fault in Nelson St.
