Awhiwhenua Practical Tutor
This position will oversee and operate the Awhiwhenua Course whilst mentoring and guiding learners through their Level 3 Agriculture qualificiation
As the right person you will have:
• Previous experience in the sheep and beef farming sector is a must
• A genuine passion to work with young adults and take pleasure in their success
• The ability to work with colleagues and all stakeholders whilst at all times taking ownership and responsibility for the success of the program
• Good communication and reporting skills - computer literacy a must
• A great can do attitude
• An agricultural qualification or equivalent experience
• Understanding of Tikanga Maori

Kaiawhi
This position will assist with the day to day running of Awhiwhenua House. Train, coach and mentor Awhiwhenua students in household tasks including cooking, cleaning and other front of station duties - you will ensure the house operates in a manner which aligns with Tikanga Maori
As the right person you will have:
• Knowledge and skills in cooking, cleaning and front of station duties
• Ability to work with young adults and to coach and supervise them in the completion of tasks
• Good interpersonal, relationship management and leadership skills
• Superior communication skills, verbal and written, and excellent listening skills
• Strong computer and literacy skills
• A warm, friendly and approachable person but firm in maintaining high standards for Awhiwhenua House
