A pond scum spill that caused major traffic delays on Auckland's North Shore has been cleared
The Fire Service said a cubic metre of pond sludge had spilt over Lake Rd, Belmont.
Traffic quickly backed up around the smelly spill, near the intersection of Bayswater Ave.
The New Zealand Transport
Agency (NZTA) said there were major delays in both directions on Lake Rd about 3.30pm. Diversions were put in place.
The spill had been cleared and all lanes were open an hour later.
