Police trying to trace 18-year-old

Police are trying to trace the movements of an 18-year-old who disappeared nearly a week ago.

Ronald (Ronny) Tiakakainga, 18, was last seen at his Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt, home about 11.30pm last Wednesday.

Police said Mr Tiakakainga had no health problems and had little money but it was too early to saying if anything sinister had happened to him.

"We're going to see what his movements were (over the last week)," Detective Sergeant James Patea of Lower Hutt CIB said.

He was last seen wearing blue-grey jeans and a white T-shirt and was thought to be carrying a cream-coloured back pack.
