Relatives are still being questioned about the death of a five-week-old baby who had brain injuries.
The baby was taken to Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland after being admitted to Taupo Hospital last week, but died on Saturday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner from the Taupo police said today the baby's name had yet to be released and police inquiries were continuing into the cause of death.
A post mortem examination was being held in Auckland.
Mr Turner said family members were helping police.
