Police seek missing man

A middle-aged Wellington man who was reported missing has now been gone for 24 hours.

Terrence Massey, 67, from Wainuiomata was reported missing from his home address in Moores Valley Rd at 5.30pm yesterday.

Police said there were "grave concerns" for his wellbeing.

A police spokesman confirmed he had not yet been found.

Mr Massey, who's been described as a slim Caucasian male, approximately 170cm tall, was required to take medication daily.He was wearing a blue-green checked shirt underneath red braces and dark blue jeans when he went missing.

Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts was asked to contact police on (04) 381 2000.

Meanwhile the 84-year-old woman that had been reported missing from central Auckland yesterday has been found.

Xiu Yue Fan had been missing for several hours, after last being seen at the intersection of Morrow St and Broadway, Newmarket.

A police spokesman said she was found at around 1am.

"A member of the public found her in the city, she was a little bit confused, but okay."

It wasn't the first time the elderly woman had gone missing.

The last time Ms Fan went walkabout from Newmarket, she was located in Ellerslie.
