Levin police are appealing for a missing Horowhenua woman to phone home and let her worried family know she is safe. Kristin Lee Smith, 22, left Levin on Saturday, heading for Palmerston North, and indicating to family that she would stay the night in a motel. Police say she failed to turn up for work and missed a scheduled visit with her child.
Inquiries with the motels in the area where she was intending to stay had been negative. Ms Smith was driving a grey 1991 Nissan Maxima. Anyone with information about her whereabouts was asked to contact police.
