Police search for missing 10-year-old autistic boy

Police are searching an Auckland suburb for a 10-year-old autistic boy, who disappeared this afternoon.

Police Sergeant Tobias Harrison said the boy went missing around Kipling Ave, Epsom, about 1.45pm today.

He said the boy, a caucasian, has shoulder length brown hair and is of stocky build and walks on tiptoes. He was wearing a red skivvy, blue jeans and blue and white boat shoes, he said.

The child was last seen carrying a plastic silver toy sword.

Members of the public are asked to call 111 immediately if they see the child, Mr Harrison said.
