Police respond to 'firearms incident' north of Auckland

Police said this morning it was unclear if anyone was injured in the incident.

Police were called to a 'firearms incident' north of Auckland early today.

However, a police spokeswoman said details of the incident were still scant and it was unclear if anybody was injured.

Officers were called to a private property at South Head about 2am.

The Herald understands the house was in the vicinity of Te Kanae Rd.
