Police have released the name of the man killed in a fatal crash just out of Christchurch on New Year's Eve.
He is 33-year-old Tihi Oterangi Rae Edgecombe of Cheviot.
Edgecombe died in a crash on Downs Rd, Spotswood.
"Police extend their sympathies to Mr Edgecomb's family and friends," a
spokesperson said.
"The investigation into the crash is ongoing and police cannot comment further."
