Police have seized thousands of dollars in cash, a gun and a stolen Mercedes when they raided two north Auckland properties for drugs and stolen possession.
Police found large amount of meth, $35,000 in cash, a loaded gun, taser guns and a stolen Mercedes when they raided a Fowler AccessRd home in Puhoi, at about 7am yesterday.
A 41-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman have been charged with offences including possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession of firearms and receiving stolen property.
Detective Sergeant Callum McNeill said firearms and meth were usually seized together.
The fact that this one was loaded and the other nasty weapons we found here are further reminders that meth is a very dangerous drug that drives serious and violent crime," he said.
As a part of the same operation, Police also found 33 cannabis plants as well as a quantity of dried cannabis when they conducted a search warrant at a Albany property on the same day.
Stolen properties including Stihl chainsaws, a Stihl Brush Cutter and a Ramset Nail Gun were also found.
