Police raid on Mob yields mass of meth

A police swoop on members of the Mongrel Mob in Porirua has yielded about $160,000 worth of methamphetamine.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam of Porirua said four arrests had been made. A 40-year-old man appeared in the Wellington District Court on Friday charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply. He was remanded in custody.

A 39-year-old man was also charged with possession of the drug for supply and was remanded on bail. A 25-year-old man pleaded guilty in the Porirua District Court to possession of the drug for supply.

A 32-year-old man will appear in the Porirua District Court for a pre-depositions hearing relating to possession of $97,000 of cash.
