Police on the hunt for missing elderly man

Police are concerned for the well being of a missing elderly man who has not been seen in two days.

Rodney (Rod) Murdoch, 71, from Omarama was last seen about 9.30am on Thursday August, 9, police said.

Mr Murdoch has various health issues and is unable to walk unaided.

Police said his family were becoming increasingly anxious, and were now hoping to find him.

Mr Murdoch was believed to be driving his Green/Silver 1994 Toyota HiLux Surf. The vehicle's registration number is CHW194.

Police said Mr Murdoch may also have his dog with him - a grey and white giant schnauzer.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Mr Murdoch, were asked to contact their nearest police station.
