Police have released the name of the forestry worker and father-of-three killed near Tinui.
He was Matangaroa (Mata) Taramai, 31, of Masterton.
Mr Taramai was killed when the tree he was cutting down fell on him in a Te Mai Rd forestry block on March 10.
Mr Taramai, whose death
is the subject of a Worksafe investigation, is survived by three children and his partner.
His funeral service is being held at 11am today at the St Luke's Presbyterian Church in Tokoroa. The service will be followed by a burial at the Tokoroa Lawn Cemetery.
