Police name Te Horo crash victim

Police have named the man killed in a fatal crash in Horowhenua. The incident happened just before 5pm Friday at Te Horo.

A north-bound vehicle on State Highway One hit Frank Van Kampen, who was biking on the road in the same direction. The 46-year-old died at the scene.

Police say the 70-year-old driver of the vehicle failed a breath test, and her license has been suspended.

She will be facing charges in court when the Serious Crash Unit completes its investigation.
