The motorcyclist found dead after a crash in Hamilton on Saturday morning was 29-year-old Raglan man Nathan William Nolan.
Mr Nolan's body was found by a crashed motorcycle near the intersection of Baverstock and Brymer Roads about 12.50am.
"He was unconscious when found and rescue breathing and compressions were commenced
by attending Police staff and then fire fighters before ambulance officers arrived," said Waikato road policing manager Inspector Freda Grace.
"Despite these efforts, Mr Nolan was unable to be revived."
Mrs Grace said Saturday's tragedy was the 24th death on Waikato roads this year and she questioned whether the motoring public were doing enough to keep themselves and others safe.
